KENZOTOPIA: Streets in full bloom

Marni, named after the sister of the founder and former creative director of the Italian fashion house, Consuelo Castiglioni, presented its very first collection of women’s luxury ready-to-wear and accessories back in 1994, and shoe collection only four years later. Bold through colors, eccentric prints and patterns, volume and juxtapositions, the brand soon became synonymous with effortless cool, and the Swiss-born designer behind the brand, regarded as one of the most innovative in the fashion industry. In 2010 she was featured on the Fast Company magazine’s list of Most Creative People as one of the leaders who “are shaping the future of business in creative ways”. After more than two decades at the house with Italian heart and global spirit, the designer with a singular vision of fashion and style announced her personal decision of stepping down as creative director. Marni has appointed Francesco Risso as her successor.
