Maison Kitsuné, a “unique concept of trendy and modern luxury intermingling fashion and music”, was founded in 2002 by Gildas Loaëc, former manager of the group Daft Punk, and Japanese architect Masaya Kuroki, who also designs the interiors of the Paris-based maison’s flagship stores. The name comes from the Japanese “kitsune”, meaning fox, symbol of versatility, and ability to change its face and appearance. Each season, the creative duo delights their loyal followers, including Jay Z and Beyoncé among many others, with French preppy meets laid-back urban style and cosmopolitan cool collections, influenced by music, Paris and Tokyo, two of trend-setting lifestyle brand’s favorite cities. The designer duo expresses their personal style through every collection without following any trends. Maison Kitsuné iconic “classics”, such as signature graphic t-shirts, shirts and sweatshirt are revisited every season, and reinvented through bold mélange of colors and new prints, along with countless versions of the Frech-Japanese music-label-fashion-houses’s omnipresent trademark fox.
