Givenchy

THE FASHION HOUSE
Hubert de Givenchy founded his couture house back in 1952, an immediate success, followed by the best-dressed women from all over the globe. Since placed at the creative helm of the fashion house ten years after Mr. Givenchy’s retirement, Riccardo Tisci has been fusing the maison’s creative heritage with his own fashion-forward vision, and an eclectic mix of influences. In 2017, the creative director who played a key role in resurrecting the fashion house to its former glory, and turning it into one of the world’s most coveted brands, decided to leave the fashion house and focus on his personal projects. Givenchy enters a new era with Clare Waight Keller as the next artistic director.

THE ICONS
Some of the biggest icons of the brand are its signature statement sweatshirts and bags: the smart and modern Nightingale bag; the multi-faceted Pandora bag, inspired by a rectangular box, and it’s new versions: Pandora Box and Pandora Pure; timeless Antigona, representing Riccardo’s love of the contrast between feminine and masculine. And one of Givenchy latest interpretations of a 9-to-9 bag, the architectural Lucrecia. Next big hit? The brand new Infinity line with chunky silver-tone chain accent.
