THE FASHION HOUSE
Kenzo Takada founded his brand back in 1970, opened his legendary “Jungle Jap” boutique in Paris, and started designing initially women’s collections only, and later on added both men and kids to his portfolio. When Carol Lim and Humberto Leon, founders of Opening Ceremony took over as creative directors in 2011, the French fashion house didn’t have a sweatshirt category, currently Kenzo signature Tiger and Eye Sweatshirts are one of the top staples. The creative duo rejuvenated the brand, injecting each and every collection with the eclecticism they are renowned for, while preserving the brand’s traditions, especially the importance of the jungle-themed prints.

THE NEW SEASON
Kenzo SS17 collection is Carol Lim and Humberto Leon’s personal homage to the 90s nightlife, featuring original flyer prints and illustrations from the early digital era. Don’t miss alert: Visage print, featuring hand painted eyes with raver-esque make-up (feather lashes included!). Our edit also includes Kenzo “Skate” logo series, and signature eye and tiger motifs via prints and colorful embroidery.
THE ICONS
Kenzo is a synonym of jungle-inspired animal and floral prints and patterns, revisited and reinvented time and time again, present on ready-to-wear, footwear, bags and accessories, including watches. The most coveted staples? The statement sweatshirts and t-shirts, emblazoned with Kenzo Tiger and Kenzo Eye, introduced by Carol and Humberto. The new hit? We’d say the new signature logo, inspired by Kenzo Takada's original signature.
