THE FASHION HOUSE
Hubert de Givenchy founded his couture house back in 1952, an immediate success, followed by the best-dressed women from all over the globe. Since placed at the creative helm of the fashion house ten years after Mr. Givenchy’s retirement, Riccardo Tisci has been fusing the maison’s creative heritage with his own fashion-forward vision, and an eclectic mix of influences. In 2017, the creative director who played a key role in resurrecting the fashion house to its former glory, and turning it into one of the world’s most coveted brands, decided to leave the fashion house and focus on his personal projects. Givenchy enters a new era with Clare Waight Keller as the next artistic director.
THE NEW SEASON
Givenchy SS17 for women mixes items from a trio of wardrobes that are different yet complementary. The 90s inspired Skinhead Romantic (think tulle, stars and combat boots), The Iconic Givenchy Woman (lover of tailored looks) and The Urban Woman (keen to play with volumes and textures). The collection for men is a mix of tailoring and sporty references with signature urban edge.
